oh I forgot about hypnagogia. I guess that a have uncontrolled/partially controlled hallucinations more often then (edited)
6:21 PM
still never seen shadow people
Avatar
Cat_ShadowGriffin BOT 7/18/2019 6:22 PM
Hypnagogia is really hard for me. I can have hallucinations to the point where it's comparable to the hallucinations I get from sleep paralysis, but it would always scare me and I never relaxed enough to have a lucid dream.
Avatar
I’ve been meaning to invest in some herbs for dreaming tbh
6:23 PM
I know THC kills dreams but I’ve only been partaking of the danky nugz quite infrequently
6:24 PM
Calea Zacatechichi, Entada Rheedii, and Silene Undulata are all good I hear
Avatar
Cat_ShadowGriffin BOT 7/18/2019 6:25 PM
The only ingredients I use are failing at LDing, having pretty good dream recall, and probably having some form of sleep apenia. My most vivid dreams occur when I fall back asleep after getting 8 hours
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:25 PM
its not that difficult and no need to keep throwing wrenches in the already superb working enigine if it. is not an emergency 🤔 spy
Avatar
Yeah technique is key I’m aware
Avatar
Breloomancer 7/18/2019 6:26 PM
the effectiveness of techniques varies from person to person
6:26 PM
it's not so easy for everyone
Avatar
I’ve had only minimal success with Melatonin and Thujone, when I went to psych I would save up the nicotine patches they’d give me and have some intense dreams but there’s literally nothing to do in those places but try to force 24/7
6:27 PM
There are far better cholinergics and in fact most are actually quite good for brain health, the nicotine was a product of circumstance. I’ve heard great things about Galamantine
Avatar
Breloomancer 7/18/2019 6:27 PM
I know a person who has been attempting for years and is an absolute expert on lucid dreaming, yet has never had a lucid dream that lasted for more than a a minute or so
Avatar
Tbh we’re pretty weak as it comes to technique across the board. I’m lazy. Don’t do my reading and don’t stay committed to a given ritual. We suffer from a lot of brain fog, and struggle maintaining lucidity when dreams do become vivid.
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:29 PM
well if you know the working of the mind one can easily tailor a technique that works the fastest for the individual ,🤔 the most natural and accidental way to get lucid is just do a very physicaly demanding exercise and tire out the body , then when you fall asleep your body would shut down before the mind , thus natural way to get lucid and most foolproof .
Avatar
Cat_ShadowGriffin BOT 7/18/2019 6:30 PM
I could never commit to a dream journal because I never had enough time to write down what happened or it would be too dark to write down what happened. By the time I found my phone or a light source, I would have forgotten most of the dream.
Avatar
Yeah, I’m well aware chemical and technological modulation are only the first layer but they do fascinate me greatly
6:31 PM
I’ve experimented a lot with brainwave entrainment stuff too
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:31 PM
same here not a journal keeper so i just remember them 😁
Avatar
The last psych ward they had me in let me keep my phone and headphones but I didn’t have any friends at the time
6:32 PM
So I spent a month experimenting with binaural beats, isochronic tones, bilateral harmonics, Solfeggio Tones, combinations, etc. and just meditating/forcing/attempting to lucid dream
6:32 PM
IME Solfeggios were actually the most stimulating of them, which surprised me
6:35 PM
Shepard Tones were sorta fun for inducing trance states ngl
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:35 PM
brainwave entrainment is good but this will lead to external dependence over time , and thus over time this becomes a crutch so ......just try to think out the reasons for not getting lucid study whats the dreaming is all about and thats the way , i have also experimented with binural beats and this is a advise , if you have to then its better to emulate the binural sound frequency in your mind its much more rewarding...
Avatar
Yeah lol believe me I’m familiar with external crutches
6:36 PM
Sometimes it’s way more comfortable to get the bulky headset off anyway but most nights I sleep with them active
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:37 PM
I see then why not just read a hypnosis script?
Avatar
I mean, usually only one of the above mentioned with a single Solfeggio layer and some white noise whatever but yeah
6:37 PM
I’ve actually been getting more into hypnosis just recently
6:37 PM
I believe the aforementioned Benadryl could have tremendous use in the induction of hypnotic states as such
6:38 PM
I meant to get into Hypno back in HS when I took my first run at psychonautics and metaphysics, idk why it never struck me then. I was a hardcore atheist but I still picked up on concepts like tulpamancy as a psychological phenomenon and even read a bit into chaos magick cos I was just that brootal
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:40 PM
hum 🤔 , maybe its just my personal preference talking but if its external medication it has to be atleast at the level of Lucy's drug 😂 to entice me
Avatar
What’s that from again? Sounds vaguely familiar
6:41 PM
Usually I’m up to terms on fictional stuff cause I like to try to figure out what basis it could possibly have in reality
6:42 PM
The fuckin cultists from Far Cry 5 were on some Benadryl lmao
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:43 PM
really lucy ? Unlocking the full brain potential movie ....
Avatar
I’ve lived under a rock for almost a decade my dood
Avatar
Oh so it’s just a psionic nootropic
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:45 PM
well ....if its really the case juat watch it, no human can regret it
Avatar
So like Scanners
6:45 PM
Yeah I prolly will lol
6:45 PM
That topic is actually pretty interesting though
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:45 PM
Scanners ?
Avatar
Idk of you’re familiar with nootropics as a subject
6:45 PM
Y’know the movie where they got the clip where the news anchor’s head explodes
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:46 PM
Avatar
But I’ve actually been meaning to get back on a stack of nootropics for the sake of my own brain’s health
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:46 PM
umm maybe i didn't see that one
Avatar
By definition not drugs although they’re sometimes marketed as ‘smart drugs’ rather than cognitive aids
6:47 PM
Non-addictive and non-toxic, in most cholinergic supplementation is actually quite healthy
6:47 PM
To a body reaching maturity or old age alike. They’re often prescribed to Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s agents but are available to the public market
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:48 PM
well my philosophy is any drugs that i will ever need should be manufactured inside my own body , to reduce the side-effects to a negligible amounts as far as possible
Avatar
So you don’t like eat healthy food and stuff
6:49 PM
Choline is found in fish oil, which is why it’s recommended by doctors
6:49 PM
Most herbal medicines have some basis in cholinergic supplementation
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:50 PM
hahah i eat anything that i can get my hands on and aa long as its edible
Avatar
Lol it’s just a neat one because they don’t fall into the category of drugs in any way but people look at them weird when they see a capsule or white powder
6:50 PM
When in reality they’re as innocent as and perhaps healthier than your Multivitamin
6:50 PM
In terms of brain health anyway
6:51 PM
I’ve been interested in trying to microdose psychedelics too, as a mammal your brain produces trace amounts of DMT lol
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:51 PM
by definition everything is made up of atoms and there different arrangements so .... yeah a chemical injesting checmical to fight the entropy 🤔
Avatar
If you run really hard you’ll pump opioids through your body and if you get scared or masturbate you’ll prolly produce a fair amount of adrenaline or dopamine
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 6:53 PM
well thr domapaine production can't keep up with the demands in my case so i keep hunting for entertainment 😂
Avatar
Endogenous chems are like my favorite to look at. I mean pretty drugs act by modulating existent systems in the body so you get to see what happens when certain chemicals in the body are deprived from or are sent too quickly to given receptors
6:54 PM
Is there a better channel for this or? I got sorta off-topic and I’m not talking about anything illegal or even harmful come to think but idk if chems are meta lol (edited)
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 7:03 PM
If you understand neurology a bit then if you are learning or enjoying a task then you are awarded dopamine , and those nreves are reinforced by accepting these and open up more receptors now this means you can infinitely refine the said neural network , but.... here is the catch there just isn't enough award molecul to go around for all the receptors , so the neural link thinks its not getting properly rewarded so , it just starts to fall back and reduces its networks to try to find other solutions ......so yeah sometimes this is a a bad thing as people tend to get demotivated even when they might be doing something good , but there is a silver lining , this ....uh scarcity forces us to find even better and more ingenious ways... to do stuff ! Hence I took up tulpamancy 🤔 (i got sidetracked.....) (edited)
Avatar
No no it’s very interesting
7:05 PM
The broad field of psychonautics can provide some very stimulating avenues to pursue and opportunities for activation in just about any given circumstance on the subject of tulpamancy. I’ll often be sitting in public and decide to fuck on off outta meatspace or try practicing imposition more cause I’m bored
7:06 PM
I find that even though we haven’t exactly nailed vocality or even in-depth visualization in mindspace for that matter (like I said I’m weak and lazy) it helps to have their position anchored to a given point in meatspace so I can interpret the relative direction their thoughts are coming from
7:07 PM
At least imposing spiders/tentacles/shadow creeps comes fairly naturally to a schizoid like me. And they have a tendency to be sorta loud
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 7:08 PM
yeah same i also do the same when free bored or just plain don't wanna do some task but is still forced to finish it nonetheless , so interactions with my tulpa keeps life interesting for me
Avatar
I even have sigils symbolic of their names marked on my wrists and I still forget I’m not alone from time to time
7:09 PM
Been putting them on with sharpie everyday for 6months+ cause I’m too broke to get them tattooed
7:11 PM
I need to get back underground and put them up in the trip sewer too since my mate and I have had our pseudonyms up down there for prolly like 2 years
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 7:12 PM
Hmm a remember reading a novel , where the character ask the hero where is your sword , he say its in my heart🤔 and then the Hero asks the character the same thing , he replies that swords mine....😂
7:12 PM
jokes aside... If you think since they are a part of you you don't need to try that hard
Avatar
Well yeah they’re actually not on me in mindspace
7:14 PM
We move them to their arms
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 7:14 PM
after all do you write your own name as tattoos to just remember it ? no you believe you are you so you go to the extra effort to remember your self🤔
Avatar
I’ve still got my own tat I use as an anchor point but again I’m still broke to get it put on and I’m far too terrible an artist to draw it every day
7:15 PM
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 7:15 PM
hahaha maybe its this that works for you 🤔
7:15 PM
btw whats the meaning?
Avatar
Katie (top/left wrist) and Axyl (bottom/right wrist)
7:16 PM
They often orient themselves to those directions from me as well and so I find myself talking over my respective shoulders to them unless I’m trying to impose in meatspace
7:18 PM
In mindspace I make deliberate effort not to see them on myself as an exercise in grounding, as my tulpas wear them on their respective wrists
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 7:18 PM
well thats works too i myself use colours as my core arrangement it helps me remember who is who
Avatar
Ah yeah we’re not in too deep visually yet
7:18 PM
7:18 PM
This is the one I’m gonna get put on my inner-left forearm and visualize on myself for grounding
7:19 PM
It’s a Datura flower
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 7:20 PM
well my all purpose symbol is yin yang and i just spin the energy vortex visualisation to get work done 😁
Avatar
Aha nice yeah I used quite a bit of that in during my time in psych
7:20 PM
During which I attempted to just trance for a month straight
Avatar
immortalbeggar 7/18/2019 7:21 PM
Its all fine since everyone has there on logical thinking and symbolic understanding ,
7:22 PM
its often people just getting there programming done through whatever works for there setup
Avatar
I wanted to get back into researching things like existential philosophy, ontology, and theological myth during my time there but couldn’t find the motivation
